Maintaining a relevant, cutting edge academic program immersed in a unique curriculum of world culture and the arts is not a task we do alone. Like most independent schools, we rely heavily upon the generosity of our community to sustain and advance the mission of the school. In fact, we would not be able to deliver the promise of a Seven Arrows education without our parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni and friends of the school.
Because tuition only covers about 80 percent of the school’s annual operating budget, the Annual Giving campaign is the single most important source of non-tuition income for our school. Seven Arrows’ fundraising efforts defray expenses not covered by tuition. Below are the myriad ways to support our inclusive school community:
Annual Giving Campaign
Annual Giving kicks off in September of each year. Seven Arrows families are asked to contribute $5,000 per child or the level they are able. In addition to our budgeted financial goal, we aim for 100% participation for our Annual Giving Campaign. This year, we aim to raise $575,000. Supporting Annual Giving preserves signature environmental and experiential education, world culture and arts programming and cutting edge enhancements to our academic program.
This community event takes place in late fall. In the annual Walk-a-Thon, every student participates in raising funds, obtaining sponsors and tapping into their athleticism as avid runners on the track. Because we believe that there is significant value in teaching children to be philanthropic, each student is asked to raise a total of $100. We are continuously overwhelmed by their commitment to stewarding on behalf of their school.
Hosted Events (formerly known as Party Book Parties)
Hosted Events are themed parties that are hosted by parents and supporters of our school. Donating a party, event or experience is a great way to bond with others in the Seven Arrows community while supporting our remarkable school. Parents can host a party previously held on behalf of our school or donate a new party theme or event. Past themes have included: Swap Party; Movies and Milkshakes; Family Picnic and Outdoor Movie Screening.
Growth & Enhancement
The Growth and Enhancement Dinner is a fundraising dinner for the entire school community. Whether you donate your time, talent or your treasure, all are welcome to this festive evening out with our entire school community. Each March, this beautiful dinner is held and a keynote entrepreneur or philanthropist is featured as a guest speaker. Anyone who communicates an interest in supporting Seven Arrows with contributions above and beyond is invited. All proceeds directly impact our cutting edge program and commitment to teaching excellence.
Held annually, Spring Auction takes place an evening in May. The entire community is invited and families are asked to solicit a minimum of two items that are auctioned off in either our online, silent or live auction. This festive event consists of a dinner, live band, dancing, and silent and live auctions. It is a grand celebration of our educational program. This is an exceptionally fun evening with the opportunity to walk away with amazing gift certificates, overseas accommodations and trips, and many other memorable items! All proceeds benefit Seven Arrows’ Tuition Assistance Program. This year, our fundraising goal is $269,000. Support of the Spring Auction helps us maintain our commitment to a diverse school community.
